is the most righteous female R +B and rock singer anywhere near here. She and A-Train dominated the area for 10 years performing from 1977-87. They were one of the most popular live acts in Louisiana and Texas in the mid 80s and played Los Angeles several times, ventured up the East Coast and into Canada. They were a cult band in Nashville, with Music Insiders attending their shows there. Locally they are best remembered for their many, many nights packing the infamous Shreve Square venue Humpfrees. Miki guest stars these days with The Bluebirds, A-Train and others, as well as working with her own all star group for wedding receptions and high profile events.
